HELLO, I’M CATE TEDFORD.

Originally from Fort Mill, South Carolina, I am a student in the Honors College at Clemson University, pursuing degrees in Modern Language and Philosophy with emphases in Spanish and Law, Liberty, and Justice. I plan to graduate in May 2023 and hope to work for a nonprofit in the Greenville, SC upon doing so. I am passionate about community engagement and the flourishing of all people and hope to pursue work in those areas. I have diverse work experience ranging from retail and food and beverage to legal documentation, public relations and copywriting, and youth development and asset based community development.

After working for a nonprofit for a few years, my goal is to pursue a dual-degree of a Juris Doctor and a Master of Divinity. My academic interests involve the nature of being, religion's impact on community organization, and the use of religion for the purposes of social justice. In the legal realm, I am inclined toward public interest law and aim represent and advocate for marginalized communities.
